Questions & Answers
What are the benefits of modular buildings compared to traditional builds?
They are cost effective when compared to traditional buildings because the building manufacture and ground works can be completed simultaneously. This ensures that the building will take less time to complete in comparision to the traditional build process.
Furthermore, the modular building is constructed off site in a factory so inclement weather does not create disruption to the critical path or result in damage to building materials. Materials are kept in stock at the factory and there are no delays in delivering materials, plus the possibility of material theft is also minimised.
Is a portable building environmentally friendly?
Due to waste reduction and minimum disturbance on site, portable buildings are a wonderful way to help the environment. Our used modular buildings are extremely carbon friendly, utilising the original carbon footprint from the initial manufacturing process.
How much disruption will I experience with the construction of a modular building?
Disruption at your premises is kept to a minimum, even when construction is in full flow. The building is produced off site, whilst the groundworks package is constructed, the modules are then delivered & installed. This is especially helpful for the education sector where buildings can be installed and completed during school holidays.
Will there be much waste for me to remove after installation?
There is much less waste with a modular building installation compared to traditional brick build. This is because the manufacturer can accurately calculate material quantities for each job and there is no need for multiple waste skips that are required on a regular building site.
Can I extend the building as my business grows?
Extending a modular building by adding modules is infinitely easier than adding to a traditional build. The units can easily be added to and stacked up to three storeys where space is of a premium.
