Modular Building Systems where contacted by Deben High School to look at the feasibility of supplying a new sports pavilion to replace the existing pavilion that had been seriously damaged by an arson attack.

The brief was to supply a replacement pavilion that would withstand attack from vandals, blend in with the locality and come within the schools limited budget.

The solution to supply three 32’ x 10’ Anti vandal cabins linked together to form a sports pavilion with a bespoke pitched roof constructed on site to change the aesthetics of the building.

The order for the new building was placed and we installed the three cabins were installed. While the building was being manufactured, we were able to carry out the comprehensive ground works.

Concrete pad foundations were constructed along with the drainage and mains water services.

Once the building was installed, scaffolding was erected in order to supply and fit a slate tiled pitched roof.

Externally: The paved area is standard hydraulically pressed concrete pavers with level threshold to all external doors.

Internally:

Supplied as male and female changing facilities with toilets and showers including accessable facilities. Fitted with washable wallboards, with non slip vinyl throughout.

The key to the success of this project was certainly the speed of manufacture and installation. Completion was achieved within budget, effecting real economies for the school.
