Executive single storey advanced building

Elite Transport had outgrown their existing premises in Southampton and needed to move to a larger transport yard in Nursling, Southampton. The new site had no administrationor welfare facilities. There were three options available, hire in bespoke portable accommodation, build a traditional constructed administration building or purchase a bespoke modular building. The hire option would be an on-goingexpense that would be very costly over time; the traditional build option would have delayed their move and have been more expensive than the faster and more cost effective modular building option available.

Lee Redfern the Elite Area Director contacted Modular Building Systems who were selected to supply and install a new purpose built single storey modular building.

Whilst the manufacturing process of the building was underway offsite, ourgroundworkteam started the construction of the foundations and services required for the building. When the foundations where finished the modules where delivered to site and installed onto the foundations utilising a mobile crane. The installation process was completed in a day, thus minimising the disruption to a busy transport yard.

The internal fit out took a further a week to finish, with the installation of a suspended ceiling, air conditioning, data and IT cabling, floor coverings and a bespoke driver lobby.

From initial enquiry through to handover of building, the whole process took less than three months to complete. Our client has a quality bespoke building, compliant with current Building Regulations with an expected life span of over thirty years.
