Pre-fabricated steel portal frame buildings are superb for use in a number of different applications. Warehouse storage buildings, commercial accommodation, and much more can all be created using steel portal frame buildings – and are especially vital for those on limited budgets with a requirement for such a building.

They are ideal for agriculture, offering a great amount of undercover space, and are also used as aircraft hangars and low rise industrial buildings.

Prices increase with the projected size of the finished portal frame building, however our team can help you with solutions and will find the most cost-effective and suitable option for your needs.

Our team will help you to calculate the most suitable width, roof height, and will arrange delivery of the steel portal frame building as well as its construction.

For low cost warehouse facilities with singular or multi-storey levels, contact the expert team to discuss your requirements today.

Definitions:

Steel Portal frames can be defined as two dimensional rigid frames which have the basic characteristics of a rigid joint between column and beam. The main objective of this form of design is to reduce bending movement in the beam which allows the frame to act as one structural unit.

The buildings are designed and built in such a way that they are suitable to use for wide span buildings and are therefore an effective means of achieving a low cost warehouse facility.

Applications:

The portal frame building provides effective accommodation for commercial, leisure, agricultural and industrial use and can be used for warehousing facilities, aircraft hangers, milking sheds, sports halls, car parks, factory units and hay barns.

They can be constructed as single or multi-storey construction, with mezzanine floors. Open plan or with sectional internal areas.

Advantages:

Quick - Erection of the building is completed quickly and the building can be available in weeks due to the simplicity of the design.

Economical Low initial costs with a long life building sited on simple foundations.

Extend or Reduce - Extension or reduction can be done by simply adding or removing modules.
